We provide trips on the whole 100 miles of the legally canoe-able length of the River Wye, we are conveniently situated on the Welsh/English border in the small historic town of Monmouth on the edge of the Forest of Dean and on the rivers Wye & Monnow, close to main campsites and down the river from Symonds Yat. Symonds Yat has several pubs for a riverside lunch and just downstream a small set of rapids mark the start of one of the most beautiful sections of the River Wye, where the Hills rise up and the forest hangs over the rivers edge. The Black Mountains are located in the surrounding areas with access to other historic towns such as Hereford, Ross-on-Wye, Chepstow, Abergavenny, Coleford.
Canadian Canoeing and kayaking on the River Wye is a great outdoor activity, we have a large fleet of quality modern canoes and kayaks for people to enjoy the Wye, with Monmouth Canoe you may paddle your canoe up to 100 miles, from Glasbury, Hay-on-Wye, Bredwardine, Hereford, Hoarwithy, Ross-on-Wye, Kerne Bridge at Goodrich, Symonds Yat or Monmouth as far as Tintern or guided, Chepstow where the Wye meets back up with the River Severn after their birth together in the Welsh mountains.
The river Wye in Monmouthshire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire can be canoed throughout the year from the tiny village of Glasbury above Historic Hay down to the castle town of Chepstow where the river flows into the Bristol Channel. We offer a wide range of activities from leisurely half day wye canoeing or whole day canoe trips to fun filled whole weekend / Week canoeing adventure along the beautiful river wye.
